Bahama Breeze Jerk Chicken Pasta Recipe

by Eduard Anselme

This is a fun time for me, getting to teach you how to make this easy dish. Suppose your idea of cooking involves going to a grocery store and buying prepared food. In that case, I’m happy to be the one that changes your mind. Cooking can be simple. And so tasty! Try it once, just one time. If you like this Bahama breeze jerk chicken pasta recipe, come back and try some more. Who knows, soon enough, you may find yourself the family cook!

What is Bahama Breeze Jerk Chicken Pasta?

Bahama Breeze® Jerk Chicken Pasta is a delicious Jamaican take on one of everyone’s favorite pasta dishes – Baked Ziti. Classic Italian flavors like Tomato, Mozzarella and Alfredo sauce are served with grilled chicken, tomatoes, peppers and onions. I love adding grilled vegetables to pasta! They’re so good! Do it now if you have never tried adding grilled or roasted vegetables to your pasta!

You will be amazed at how much flavor even simply grilled vegetables bring to your pasta. I love that this Bahama breeze jerk chicken pasta recipe uses fresh tomatoes – so much better than canned bland tomatoes! It’s actually refreshing to bite into a slice of tomato after eating a flavorful dish like this. I don’t need any BBQ sauce with my hamburgers (and, in fact, I don’t even put ketchup on them). Still, it seems every time I order BBQ chicken from a restaurant;

I am expected to drown it in BBQ sauce. It’s nice when something is pleasantly different than what you are used to eating. This Bahama breeze jerk chicken pasta is just that. This recipe has the perfect blend of spicy and sweet thanks to the combination of garlic and red pepper burrito seasoning served atop the island-inspired pasta.

Ingredients:

1. Pasta

Pasta is a wonderful addition to any meal, and it’s perfect in this recipe because it helps balance out the spicy jerk chicken. The pasta also helps fill you up and satisfy you, so you don’t feel like you need to eat more than one serving of this delicious dish.

2. Oil

The oil used in the Bahama Breeze Jerk Chicken Pasta recipe is used for cooking the chicken and adds flavor and richness to the dish. It also helps keep the pasta from sticking together while they cook.

3. Salt

Salt is an essential ingredient in Bahama Breeze Jerk Chicken Pasta. It’s used to season and flavor the dish and balance out the acidity of the tomatoes. Without salt, the entire dish would taste flat, and you’d miss out on all of its amazing flavor.

4. Ground black pepper

Ground black pepper is a spice that adds a savory and spicy kick to any dish. It’s also known as piper nigrum and comes from the pepper plant. Ground black pepper is used in Bahama Breeze jerk chicken pasta as a flavoring agent; it gives the dish a peppery flavor that pairs well with the other ingredients.

5. Chicken Breast

Chicken breast is an excellent option for cooking because it’s so versatile and can be used in various ways. Chicken breast is an excellent protein source; that’s why we use it in our Bahama Breeze Jerk Chicken Pasta recipe. The chicken breast is not just used as the main ingredient; it also helps bind all the other ingredients together into one delicious meal.

Chicken breast is also an excellent choice because it cooks quickly and tastes great. You don’t have to worry about overcooking or undercooking your chicken breast when you’re using this recipe!

6. Flour

Flour is used to make Bahama Breeze Jerk Chicken Pasta because it gives the pasta a nice, thick texture that holds up well when you’re cooking it. It also helps thicken the sauce, so it sticks to the pasta instead of just sliding right off.

7. Onion Powder

Onion powder gives the jerk chicken pasta a more oniony flavor.

Onion powder is just dehydrated onions, so it’s basically just ground-up dried onion flakes. It’s not very flavorful on its own. Still, when you add it to recipes that already have onion in them (like this one), it brings out the flavor of the onion. It makes it taste more substantial and more intense.

8. Garlic Powder

Garlic Powder is a spice that, when added to food, has a strong aroma and flavor. It is often used in many dishes as a substitute for fresh garlic, as it can be stored for more extended periods and does not require chopping or peeling.

It is also often used in marinades, rubs and dressings to give them a good flavor.

9. Water

Water is used as the main ingredient in making Bahama Breeze jerk chicken pasta. It is also used as a cooking medium and can help make your food taste better.

10. Bell peppers

Bell peppers are used in Bahama Breeze Jerk Chicken Pasta to add a little sweetness to the dish. The pepper will help balance out any harshness in the sauce and add some color to your plate. It’s also great to sneak in some vitamins and minerals into your diet!

11. Sweet corn

In the Bahama Breeze jerk chicken pasta recipe, sweet corn is used as a thickening agent for the sauce. The sauce contains tomatoes, onions, garlic, and other spices. Sweet corn is added to give the sauce a thick consistency and a sweet taste.

12. Tomatoes

How to prepare Bahama Breeze Jerk Chicken Pasta

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and garlic, frequently stirring until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add chicken and cook until browned, about 10 minutes.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce, pineapple juice, curry powder, thyme and salt; bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 5 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in cilantro leaves.

How spicy is the recipe?

This recipe is pretty spicy! If you’re not a fan of spice, I’d recommend reducing the amount of jerk seasoning to 1 tablespoon. Alternatively, you could substitute regular chicken stock for the low-sodium chicken broth.

What is it best served with?

Bahama Breeze Jerk Chicken Pasta is best served with a side of pineapple coleslaw.

This is a great way to use any leftover jerk chicken you might have—the pineapple coleslaw pairs beautifully with the sweet and spicy Bahama Breeze Jerk Chicken Pasta.

It’s also really easy to make—you can make it in about 20 minutes, start to finish!
