Crack Grapes Made With Jolly Rancher

You probably can’t buy Jolly Rancher Crack Grapes at the store. But we’ve got you covered. Check out this easy recipe for making crumbled crispy candy grapes — it’s just like those crunchy and chewy candies!

About Crack Grapes

Jolly Ranchers are a type of candy that is soft, chewy, and sweet. They are typically fruit-flavored and they can come in a variety of shapes, such as the classic pineapple or strawberry. They were invented in the late 1950s by a man named Frank Ronzoni, who wanted to create an inexpensive candy that could be sold at their supermarket chain.

The history of Jolly Ranchers is fascinating and they have been around for over 60 years! These candies are made from gelatin, sugar, corn syrup, citric acid, and flavoring. The original flavor was orange, but now there are over 50 different flavors available, including chocolate, strawberry, grape, and vanilla.

Some people have claimed that Jolly Ranchers are actually healthy snacks because they contain no fat or cholesterol; however, others disagree with this claim because although they do not contain any fat or cholesterol in them, they still contain sugar which raises blood sugar levels quickly leading to weight gain if eaten regularly over time which some people may not want to happen to themselves or their children (which is why we recommend only having one piece per day).

How to make Candy Grapes with Jolly Rancher (recipe)

See the video at the end of this post for detailed instructions

  1. Rinse grapes before inserting toothpicks or skewers into the stem end of each grape.
  2. Dry the grapes on a paper towel before dipping them in the syrup.
  3. Bring the sugar, water, and corn syrup to a boil in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium-high heat.
  4. You should keep the syrup at a rolling boil as much as possible while stirring frequently. To reach the proper temperature, boil for about 5 minutes. To determine when the syrup has reached 300-305 degrees F, use a candy thermometer (148-152 degrees C).
  5. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper to place coated crack grapes on once coated with candy so they can dry (set).
  6. Mix the vanilla extract into the syrup until it is evenly distributed.
  7. Using caution, dip each grape into the syrup, moving quickly to ensure that the syrup covers the entire grape and to sprinkle the crushed Jolly Rancher candies over the grapes that have been coated in syrup.
  8. Place your coated crack grapes on parchment paper to dry for about 30 minutes.
  9. Remove the toothpicks with care and serve within a few hours.

Tips:

There are a few things you need to know before you make grape Juice;

  • First, do not use all sweet 100% grape juice; it will not be set up properly. It would be best to have some of that 30% grape concentrate to make your hard candy.
  • Second, when you bring the water in, do not overheat or boil your liquid or else you will lose flavor, and flavor is a key component of making homemade wine. Now Get crackin’!

Storage

  • First, don’t leave them out on countertops or in open bags in the fridge. That’s just asking for trouble. Instead, put them in an airtight container so they will stay fresh longer and be more likely to last until you want to eat them again (or until you can’t stand them anymore).
  • You could also keep them in the freezer, so they’re ready whenever you need them!

Health Benefits

Jolly Rancher Crack Grapes have been shown to help reduce inflammation in the body. These grapes contain Quentin, which is a phytonutrient that has antioxidant properties that can help neutralize free radicals and prevent oxidative damage caused by free radicals in the body.
